  4.     SENTENCED. Barend Strydom, 23, a member of the
  5. white-supremacist Afrikaner Resistance Movement who killed six
  6. blacks and an Indian in Pretoria last November; to death by
  7. hanging; in Pretoria. At his trial, Strydom, who said he
  8. practiced for the slaughter by shooting two black women,
  9. explained, "I do not think blacks are human beings." Also
  10. sentenced last week: 13 black men and one black woman convicted
  11. of murder for their roles in beating a black policeman to death
  12. and setting fire to his body in Upington, Orange Free State, in
  13. November 1985; to death by hanging.
